    Holy fizz, what's the deal?

    My cider is so bubbly that every time open one it foams over. Did I do anything wrong? It also seems to lose it's fizz fast once it is poured.

    Dishwasher pasteurization?

    I have about 18 bottles of cider that I am ready to pasteurize. Do I just set it in the dishwasher and run it on the sanitation setting? Dumb question- any reason I can't do dishes at the same time? lol

    Cider not fermenting

    I added yeast to my cider yesterday and it does not appear to be fermenting., The cider jug said it had less than 1/10 of 1% potassium sorbate for freshness and I suspect that might be the reason. What can I do to get it going? Or is this batch ruined?

    Does my store bought cider have to be unpasteurized?

    I can't find unpasteurized cider here anywhere. I have considered making my own but I'm not sure if that is necessary. Can I use a jug of cider from Sam's? It has apples, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate listed as ingreadents? We've made wine and beer but this will be the 1st cider attempt...
