I bought a 25' wort chiller which says will cool in 15 min. I have used it a few times and it is taking more like 45 min. to an hour. Is there anything I can do to improve the cooling of the wort?
I am force carbonating a 5 gal batch. It has been at 30 psi for two days. It looks like some of the beer has spit back into the CO2 line. Does this have to be cleaned out before I continue?
I am kegging today. This is my second batch that I will have kegged. One of my poppit valves is stuck and does not come out. How much do I try to force it? Or do I not worry about it? I had no problems with the first batch I kegged.
I kegged for the first time and forced carbonated the beer now my CO2 tank shows it is empty. Do I have to get the tank filled immediately are can I wait a bit before I fill it?
I brewed an Irish Red on Sunday. I used dry yeast. It was doing its thing but now it looks like it has stopped...only four days. I do not have a hydrometer to get a reading. Any advice?
