    Racking a Oatmeal Stout to secondary??

    Been fermenting in the primary for 10 days and there was an abundant amount of yeast in my starter so much in fact when i pitched the yeast i could see fermentstion within ten minutes.... Because of this way awesome yeast starter i am thinking about racking to a secondary to get it off the yeast...

    Making a starter?

    Ok as i am reading about yeast starters a question has popped into my head.... Are the differ t type of DME and if so would it matter which to use or has a higher fermentation possiblitly, or would it just depend on the recipe?

    Mash tun fittings containing lead??

    Im looking to make a mash tun our the seemingly standard cooler with brass fittings however some people have stated that the fittings may have lead in them! Will this make the wort taste like metal or have metallic qualities? Does this affect the quality of the beer after fermentation???
