Texas All Grain Brew Setup! Frisco Texas

Hi everyone. I've also posted this on Craigslist and will keep the two posts up to date. Images are also on the CL post. Thank you! https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/for/d/all-grain-brewing-eqpt/6579043363.html Backing out of the hobby and selling my all grain brewing eqpt. While I am...

    Baseball tap handles

So my son and I went to Alaska this summer and on the way, the Alaska Airlines Lounge in Seattle had a Pyramid beer on tap with a sweet tap handle - if you love baseball like we do. Using the inserts I picked up at Lowe's and bats I collected from a couple from ballpark visits this year, this...

    Bad company! Keg-skins keg coozy

Has anyone ordered anything from this website? I placed an order for a keg coozy (mash tun insulator) 4 weeks ago, PayPal deducted from my account, but I still haven't received anything. I never got any kind of order status from the company - just a PayPal receipt. When I contact them through...

    Increasing Efficiency

I’ve seen a number of threads with brewers asking how they can improve their mashing efficiency so I thought I’d create a thread with some things to consider when trying to improve your efficiency. To start, I sometimes interpret people thinking efficiency relates to the quality of...

    First Decoctiob Mash today

Just wrapping up the Brau kaiser's enhanced double Decoction for my first Decoction mash ever. Laborious, but so far all has gone smoothe. About to lauter, the wait for 9/29 to drink it!

    Bulk Extract Container as fermenter

So I got one of those 15gal (estimated) containers from my LHBS to ferment in for $5. It's been a cheap way to ferment 10 gal batches, but I'm tired of siphoning into a secondary. I'd like to put one of those cheap plastic valves on it that are used on bottling buckets, but not sure how to...

Attaching a sparge arm to a pot lid

Has anyone done this? I got one of those ABT sparge arms this past week and want to affix it to my lid. It seems as simple as drilling a hole to fit, then using some o-rings to keep it in place. What have others done?

Mold grew in my counterflow chiller

So I had a few too many beers my last brew session and left my counterflow chiller unrinsed for a few days. Mold started to grow. I've run Star San through it a couple of times and it's been sitting idle for a couple of weeks filled with Iodophor, but will that get the mold out? Everything...

    Want my keggle openings larger

So when I built my keggle and HLT, I cut the holes of the top using my kitchen pot lids as a template. Now that I've gone all-grain, I unfortunately didn't have the foresight that I would be drilling holes in these lids to attached a sparge arm, return valves, etc. So I bought some SS lids at...

Anyone familiar with US Solid solenoid valves?

http://www.ussolid.com/all-products/1-2-brass-electric-solenoid-valve-24vac-viton-seal-n-c-air-gas-fuel.html I'm wondering if this is a cheaper alternative to the Asco valves in the Brutus 10 setup.

    Coffee Brewing efficiency

Am I the only one who pours a cup of coffee and starts thinking of ways that the extraction efficiency could be improved? :rockin:
