    JAOM Question.

I have a 1 gallon batch going right now, and have a quick question. It's on day 63 and it's crystal clear but very little fruit has dropped. Only about five raisins. What do I do now? Do I just wait til it all falls?

    Ajc cider

Ok, so here is what I did. I put about 16 frozen AJC to my bucket, filled to about 4.5 gallons. OG 1.056 Red star pasteaur champagne yeast. Two weeks in and it at 1.000. It's surprisingly clear and very dry. It came out alot lighter than I thought it would, it's yellowish. Any ideas on what...

    Filtering

As anyone tried filtering cider with a filter? A buddy of mine bought me a filtering system to filter from one keg to another. Has anyone used anything like this before? If so, can you give me any pointers and let me know what to expect?

    Yeast Under Pressure!

What exactly happens to the yeast when they are in the keg? Does it kill it, over time? Force it to the bottom? What does the pressure in the keg do to yeast?

    Its all at the bottom!

Ok, I'm trying several experiments all at once just to see what things taste like. My problem with this one is my honey sank to the bottom. I put half a gallon of AJ concentrate with 1 lb of honey on the stove a warmed it just enough to dissolve the honey. I let it come to room temp and pitched...

    Quick question?

I have heard something about using boiled (dead) bread yeast as yeast nutrient. Does anyone know anything about this? If so please share, how to do this and incorporate it into my yeast cider.

    Look what i did!!

First meads!! JAOM and a grape mead next to it. The other ones are just cider. And yes I just opened the jug, poked a hole in the top, and poured the last bit of my yeast starter in the small one. Just to see how it turns out.

All is well the the batch, and the taste IMO is great. Its kinda sweet, u can still taste the brown sugar a little an and almost all the...

I must be the only one that botched this up. Put my Nottingham yeast in clean, slightly warm water. I gave it a couple of stirs, let it sit for bout a minute. Then bumped it I into my cider. My buddy that was there "helping" said rehydrate for 15 seconds. After pitching I realized it was...

    Just a thought.

As anyone ever tried to backsweeten a batch of cider, after racking into a keg, with AJ that has preservatives in it? Would this also help in keeping the yeast from fermenting any further, in the keg?

    Pasteurizing and back sweetening

Sorry this is so long. Im very new to this. I wanted to start a new hobby. As Much as i enjoy pretty much anything put of a pry off 12 oz. bottle, Brewing to me seemed like a logical fit. So I dove hard first, getting a home brew kit and a corny keg setup and went to work. The irish red...
