I was at a sub sandwich restaraunt and saw that they sell their used 5 gallon pickle buckets for $2. They are airtight and food grade. I was thinking i could clean and drill an airlock hole in the lid so i could use this as another fermenter. This is just thinking, but does anyone have any ideas as to whether this would work or any ideas to get rid of the strong dill pickle smell?
