I would like to brew an IPA. But have not gone AG yet. Any suggestions for a PM IPA that you might have had sucess with? Thanks for the input. The hoppier the better!

I just did a Two Hearted Ale last week. Don't know what the final product tastes like, but if it's anything like the sample I took from the primary, it's going to be REALLY good.

Here's the recipe I ended up with:

3.5 lbs. American 2-Row
1 lb. Vienna
0.5 lb. Crystal 40L
0.25 lb. Cara-Pils

4 lbs. Muntons Light DME

All Centennial hops:

(Note: I do a partial boil of 3 gallons with a late extract addition, 1 lb. for 60 minutes, 3 lbs. for 10 minutes. You'll need to adjust your hop amounts if you do a full boil.)

4.75 AAU at 60 minutes
4.75 AAU at 45 minutes
4.75 AAU at 30 minutes
4.75 AAU at 15 minutes
4.75 AAU at Flameout (steep 10 minutes before cooled)
4.75 AAU Dry-Hopped

...and if you've never tried Two Hearted Ale by Bells Brewery, you must remedy that asap. :D

Thanks sounds like just what I am looking for. I have not tried the Bells two Hearted Ale. But as you suggest I will remedy that this afternoon.

8.5 lbs Pale Liquid
2.25 lbs 2-Row Brewers Malt
.5 lbs Crystal Malt 10°L
1 oz Magnum (14.5%) - added during boil, boiled 60 min
1 oz Centennial (10.0%) - added during boil, boiled 30 min
1 oz Centennial (10.0%) - added during boil, boiled 15 min
1.5 oz Centennial (10.0%) - added during boil, boiled 5 min
.5 oz Centennial (10.0%) - added dry to secondary fermenter for 10-14 days
0.0 ea Fermentis US-56 Safale US-56

Now that is some hops! :cross: And some ABV to go with it. :D

I'm not too much of a hop head so Two Hearted Ale is right up my alley.

:off: Has anyone come up with a solid PM version of EdWort's Haus Pale Ale yet? I'd like to try that one as well.
