I've found a couple of threads here about specific beers and how long they remain good (and that's obviously subjective) in kegs at say 40 degrees and under pressure. "Best before 60 days" seems like a sort of conservative consensus.

Since I'd like to ultimately get some variety going, but can only drink so much, what beers would be good choices to keep a bit longer in those conditions? I'd like a variety anyway, and I would guess IPAs would be towards the shorter life, stout longer. What about say a Cal common? Would it last longer than say a pale ale?

Or am I overthinking this?

if it's a hop forward beer time is not on your side. i try to kick my hoppy kegs in under 30 days even if it means giving growlers away to my neighbors.
