Ukrainian style recipes

I have a friend coming in from the Ukraine and would like to treat him to some "Ukrainian " style beer of which I'm not too familiar. He likes witbier styles and I did some research and found a decent Obolon Bile that is like a weisse bier. I can brew a good standard witbier but what style of hops or spices may make it more of a "Ukrainian style".
Any help appreciated!

I think most Ukrainian beers are lagers, based on what the Ukrainians in Chicago seem drink, like Obolon.

Definitely do what you think is best, but don't you think your Ukrainian friend would rather have Ukrainian beer in the Ukraine? Why not make him an American style?
