Hi,

I've just started brewing a home brew kit for my brothers 21st, Its a simple lager kit.

I just tried a little bit 1 day after starting it. It tasted great, but I must have drunk soem live yeast.

Is that dangerous in any way?

Cheers,

Rob Clohesy

It will likely be more bitter. Drink too much of it, and you'll get the runs. Aside from a sore posterior, it won't hurt you.

Live yeast isn't a problem. In fact, Brewer's Yeast is sold as a food suppliment in healthfood stores, as it is the only non-animal source of B12. You are more likely to have a gas problem from the unfermented sugars.

True, my daughter stopped drinking Hefe Weizen because of her gas.

Me, I think it's normal (I would). I like the ease of relief... :D
