Dryhop question

Ok so, pretty simple question. I have my barley wine in the secondary right now. Planning on keeping it in there for a few months. Should I go ahead and add the hops for dry hopping or should I wait until two weeks before bottling. Just wondering if there is an ill effects from dry hopping to long?

Agreed. I think 4 days would do it.
