Walker said:I find baseball to be drearily dull. There's simply not enough action or physical contact to keep me interested.
I view it as a "past time" rather than a sport... much like bowling, golf, billiards, darts, etc. (I'm sure I'll get flamed for this one, but that's how I feel about it.)

Consider yourself flamed without ripost!Walker said:(I'm sure I'll get flamed for this one, but that's how I feel about it.)
BeeGee said:My grandmother passed down the tradition to my mother who in the early 70's passed down the tradition to me of watching every televised Braves game during the entire season. We used to wrap things up a lot earlier in the year before the 90's. Extra innings was my only guaranteed pass for getting to stay up past my bedtime.
I don't really have the time for it anymore, but I still watch a good bit. I listen to the Durham Bulls on the radio quite a bit, even though they're no longer affiliated with the Braves

I had a friend who completed law school and was clerking in Providence who I went to visit. We caught Pawtucket one night and Boston the next...definitely a great baseball area! Glad I got to check Fenway off my list.Truble said:Yeah. I have The Boston Red Sox, Pawtucket Red Sox, Lowell Spinners, and Portland Sea Dogs all in my neck o' the woods, so it is fun.
Sorry guys...had to work a little this morning.BeeGee said:Can't believe we're the only red blooded Americans on this board! Could probably stir up a baseball vs. cricket discussion...

I don't envy my buddy, but let's just say he has recently acquired a position at 36 years of age which will basically cruise him to retirement. He is, however, bald and gray at this point.El Pistolero said:My condolences on:

Seriously tho...how many major league parks have you hit?
Truer words were never spoken...anybody who doesn't agree can just kiss my grits!Mike's Brew and Brat said:Baseball is the only sport.
How can you root for a team that can't even figure out which town they play in?Mike's Brew and Brat said:Go Angels!
Here you go.gaelone said:Send me a bowl of your finest grits, El P.
Walker said:For me, the more I was exposed to baseball, the LESS exciting it was. I played all the way up to the time I was about 15 before I decided I couldn't stand it anymore.

My Brewers (yes, they are mine ) in Phoenix. Went golfing with brewers shortstop JJ Hardy 3 weeks ago. Friends with his Uncle... He's from here.
As in which is the most boring? Close one. I vote for a draw....BeeGee said:Could probably stir up a baseball vs. cricket discussion...
