First post here.
Read so much about Ed Wort's Apfelwein that I had to try it myself. Some of the responses mentioned spicing it up and I figured I would do the same.
Shopping at Costco yesterday I sampled R.W. Knudsen's Cider & Spice. It tasted good and I thought that it would make spicing this easy recipe a breeze. Not sure if someone has already posted on this but I did not see any after a quick search.
Bottle mentions that it is unsweetened and is 100% juice. Spices listed on the label are Allspice, Cinnamon and Clove and it also includes Lemon and Orange Peels/Oils.
I used 2 gallons of Mott's Apple Juice and (4)-96 fl oz of the Cider & Spice to make the 5 gallons.
I will update when bottling in three months or so.
