Hi all,

I'm planning out my first cider attempt and as I've read, most people attempt to make something like a Strongbow cider (which is sweet) and end up with a tart/dry cider. I am indeed one of those that is looking to make something sweet like Strongbow. As I’ve read, preservative free, pressed apple juice from places like Whole Foods are just fine for beginners and I'm planning on getting some jugs from Trader Joes or something like that. I have plenty of carboys (5 and 6.5 ga. sizes) to try it out on but does anyone have a good recipe for a sweet cider? As much detail as you can provide would be appreciated!

If you do a search on this board for cider, you'll get lots of information. The consensus, from what I've read, is to let it ferment out, then to backsweeten to your taste.
