OK, so I made yeast starter on Thursday night with the intention of brewing on Sunday, but then my wife had to go into labor and have a baby. I'm thrilled and all, but that doesn't change the fact that I've got this yeast starter sitting around. So, my question is, how long will it last? Will it still work if I use it 6 days later? Is there something I should do to preserve it?

ahh, just now saw the post below. Guess I'm not the only one. Sounds like i seal and refrig. Thanks!

Yes, just put it in the fridge covered with foil or with an airlock on it. I ahev done this for 2 weeks. When you are ready, just rewarm it will wake the yeast up. You can also add some more DME and water when you are ready to ensure it is still good a few days before brewing.
