I have searched around and only found one recipe on the beautyberry.. Does anyone have any experience with this berry??

I'd never heard of it before, but according to wikipedia it's "highly astringent, though a jelly can be made from it." and (this would seem important) it has been used as an insect repellant.

I'd give it a taste & see what you think; if you think it's worth a shot, I say go for it! Should be easy to make a gallon of it just to see if it's worth it to make 6 gallons later.
Regards, GF.

I am curious about this as well. I just took a walk in the woods and found millions, nay billions of these berries.

I mostly brew beer, do not know much about wine, but wondered if a wine can be made from these. Or maybe add to a sour beer, although I would be behind on that one.

Please report back if you tried this or find more info.
Thanks,
John
