I am currently in the fermentation stage of my first brew. I followed an american IPA recipe that called for dry hopping, but I just now realized that I missed adding a pound of DME that the recipe called for.
The gravity of the original recipe was 1.054 ending with and ABV of about 5.8%. Missing this pound of DME brings me down to more like 4.5% and an OG of about 1.045 (I'm away from my comp with beersmith).
Since the beer will be so much lighter, I am afraid dry-hopping may just give it an overly hoppy aroma and flavor for how light the beer will be. Obviously, it comes down to a matter of preference, but I was hoping to get some insight from more experienced brewers as to the worth of dry-hopping such a light beer.
