Yeast Washing from a Sour - Reuse in a Non-Sour

Thanks to all for all of the replies. This was soured in a 1 gallon carboy then the yeast was pitched 48 hours later. There was no boiling post souring. I followed this recipe but scaled it down to 1 gallon and just used some light DME I had on hand...

Yeast Washing from a Sour - Reuse in a Non-Sour

I just did a small batch sour using A Good Belly mango shot. Yeast was Belle Saison. If I rinse the yeast can I reuse it in a non-sour such as a normal Saison or a wheat beer?

Hornindal Kveik is blowing my mind

Pitched mine at 72 degrees in a 1.064 NE IPA and it took off very quickly and was active for about 24 hours with a 2” thick Krausen then started to simmer down. Krausen dropped after 3 days. I’m hoping this yeast didn’t stall.... It smelled very good through the airlock.

WB 06 in a Raspberry Wheat

I’m looking to brew a raspberry wheat beer and considering using either WB 06 or S-04. I’m Brewing this for a friend and they want the beer to come out on the sweeter side rather than dry. Similar to Sam Adams Cherry Wheat or their Raspberry Lemon Gose. I’ve read that WB 06 can leave a tart...

First Cornelius Keg and Cleaning Advice

I have a 5 gallon ball lock keg that is almost empty. It is a new keg like the one below and has had only the initial brew in it. http://www.kegconnection.com/five-gallon-keg-ball-lock-new/ I won't have a chance to brew for a few months. Do I need to fully break down the keg and clean...

    Electric Burners and Boil

Posted this in the Beginners Beer Brewing Forum and was told to also post here. I was considering picking up a few electric burners to brew on my deck as I live in an apartment that doesn't allow gas burners. I have an aluminum brew pot (non-magnetic) so I cannot use induction. Has anyone...

    Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti Clone

If anyone has brewed the OP's recipe recently can you comment on how close it is to the original Yeti? Is the mouth-feel similar?
