Bottom Drain Keg Tri-Clamp Hole Size question

I use the exact same system and it works great! I don't have the kegs here with me as they are at my brewing buddy's house, but all you need is someone who has a 2" triclover clamp to measure it at its widest point. My guess is that a 4" hole would work and give you a little leeway

    RIMS for Dummies

Here are a couple pics of the rims in a box I'm building with a buddy. Used a gang box for the switches and U bolts to mount the tube. Still have to finish wiring it up, but its coming together nicely!

    Making Bottling Less Painful

I use the same method and don't have any bottles that I have been storing, but what I love is the ability to get the carb exactly where I want it, then bottle it as is. With yeast and bottling sugar, I always felt it was a crap shoot as to whether or not it would be right. I still bottled my...

Putting in some taps this weekend

Double and triple check the spacing with kegs in the fridge to make sure a shank doesn't interfere with the placement of the kegs. I would also advise removing the shelves and such on the inside of the fridge and replacing with a sheet of wood or something similar to give more internal space.

Storing the brew rig outside in Canadian winter?

It might not stay pretty, but I don't see how the cold could affect steel too much. I would worry about rust. Could you find a grill cover or a tarp or something to wrap it up in when not in use? I wouldn't really want it outside bare...

Advice from all those who live in Boulder,Co

Avery and Mountain Sun are my favorites in the boulder area for breweries. If you can get to Longmont (25 minutes) there is Oskar Blues and Lefthand. For beer bars in Boulder, The West End Tavern has about 40 taps and a pretty decent bottle selection. Backcountry Pizza just opened and has 50...

10 Gallon Megapot - dip tube needed

Thats what it looks like to me. You could also get a 90* SS elbow and use it to replace the coupler on the inside of you kettle, it should sit off of the bottom enough to flow and will pull more liquid than the coupler. If you do go that route, remember to clean thoroughly, as the threads could...
