From a first year hops grower:
I would highly recommend Great Lakes Hops based on my experience thus far. Ordered my plants Sunday and received Wednesday. The plants are way larger than expected, well packaged, and very healthy in appearance. I can't imagine starting from a rhizome compared...
I am about to pull the trigger on my order for sanitary fittings. I was hoping to get some quick answers (or any feedback) to a few of my concerns based on my rough sketch.
I plan to use 1" ferrules for all connections except for the (4) thermometer ports and (1) future heating element port...

Glickmanii,
Thank you for the response. I would be interested to hear from a few others to get a few more view points. In reading that article, they make it seem like it would be next to impossible to dispense anything more than foam if the beer is carbed to 12 PSI. The only difference in my...
I found this old Victor nitrogen regulator in my parents garage. It has probably been collecting dust for close to 4 years. Is it still okay to use with my beer gas tank to push my stouts? I really don't know anything about sanitizing or how one would even go about cleaning a regulator. I do...
I recently brewed an Oatmeal Stout (http://www.brewmasterswarehouse.com/recipe/654ae6b0/mystic-brewing-dwarven-warrior-oatmeal-stout) as a first beer for my stout faucet. My OG was 1.064 and I fermented at 70F - 72F. Racked to secondary today and the gravity is at 1.018. I was reading a BYO...
Can anyone help me figure out the tare weight on my beer gas cylinder? The tank is orange and has the following stamped in the tank:
SPUN DOT-3AA2015 (Symbol: R inside a shield) K272902 4(Symbol:B inside a circle)99 + (Symbol: Star) REE 57.0 TC3AAM154
I have looked online and am thinking...
I was in the market for a stout faucet and came across this deal that I could not pass on. It is a Murphy's Irish Stout Countermount Dispensing System. I really only need to stout faucet and tap handle for my setup but the whole system seems pretty slick. I could probably use the mini jockey...
I appreciate the reply. The guy that I traded with just had me concerned because he didn't use it personally. I think he owned some shopping centers and this was from a restaurant that closed and left it behind. If he had said he had it filled personally, I wouldn't have a worry in the world...
I bartered for a Beer Gas Tank on CL and it is nearly full. Are there any convenient testing methods to make sure that it is definitely a beer gas blend? The mix is 75% Nitrogen / 25% CO2.
