you would be better going with a slant to sub culture your yeast any asian or phillipene store can provide malt agar (as they use this to cook with) just bring it to a boil then pour it into sterile tubes and lean them on a book about an inch thick when time to sub culture have a flame...

I guess i'm asking is it best to spin slow or fast?

so I started a starter for my yeastisy and i "borrowed" a stir plate from my lab "I work in a lab" how fast should I spin it ? I have it on 7 spinning fast is that good?

TABC (texas alcohol and beverage commision) frowns rather severly on this practice I believe its called "bootlegging"

just make sure to sanatize the bottles before filling
