    Hop Flavor Vs Bitterness

Hello, When you have a Hop that you use in a recipe, and the AA value changes significantly, lets say the AA value is cut from 10.0 down to 5.0, to keep you hop bitterness value the same in that recipe you should double the amount of hops (more or less) in your recipe. My question is ? will...

Second batch of Kolsch. Questionable yeast.

Hello, 3 weeks is a >>>Minimum<<< amount of time for a beer to carb up, also when you chill one to try it, leave it in the fridge for 3 days before trying it, this time in the fridge is needed to allow the co2 to fully get into solution. Cheers :mug:

    Storage of unfiltered beer

Hello, Those temps really are not warm enough to adversely affect your brews very much, at least for most ale yeast beers, around 70 deg is actually preferred for age/conditioning most ale yeast beers. IMO I don't think you have much to worry about with those temps affecting your taste...

    grade yourself and be honest

Hello, I would have to say that my wife and I like our home brews quite a bit better than store bought micro brews, I think this is for several reasons, first of all we like lower hop beers and those are not very easy to find, we also like the smoothness of a beer that is on tap compared to a...
