My question is, if it is Brett, how will it affect the taste of my IPA. I still need to dry hop. Should i transfer from under the Bret to another carboy before dry hopping?

I use Brewpal. its pretty awesome, but wish it had updates for yeasts and hops.

Just wanted to say, i ordered 6 of these for my 2 kegs, put 2 in each keg, just ordered 6 for "just in case". Just put them in and pulled a pint...absolutely perfect. It is slow, but man what a difference, i was getting 1/2 a pint of foam because of short 5' lines on my kegconnection setup...

Just soak them in a sink with hot water for an hour or so, then take a scotchbrite pad or steel wool style dish scrubber to take the glue off. I never use oxyclean, plain water works fine for me.

I was mistaken...it was Simcoe hops instead of KG. Used 9# of Pale DME, 1# Crystal 60, 1oz Simcoe @ 60, 1oz Citra @ 15, 5, 0. We'll see how it turns out. Came in at 56IBU & 1.062.

I was wondering if it would be too sweet with 2lbs of 60L. With that 2# and 9# of Pale LME, Brewpal is showing 1.071 and with all 4oz of hops (60, 45, 15, 5) it is showing 43IBU. I like my IPA's pretty aromatic and not overly bitter, so maybe i should do 60, 15, 5, flameout? Ditch the KG and...

I think a 5lb tank will last about 20 kegs.

No. I'd suggest reading through the thread if you havent. Once you get in there and get the foam out, you'll see. Remember the rule of thumb...measure twice, cut (or drill) once. You have to be careful because some of the holes you drill will come really close to the lines, but you can watch...

I ran mine all the way down through the inside of the fridge.

If someone is getting real close to pulling the trigger on one of these at Lowes, i have a 10% off coupon. It expires in 2 weeks, so you'd have to act fast.

I dont think you could fit a 5 gallon keg in these, if you are talking about like a pony keg.

I just add mine when i add the extract.
