    Infection Photo Gallery

My question is, if it is Brett, how will it affect the taste of my IPA. I still need to dry hop. Should i transfer from under the Bret to another carboy before dry hopping?

The cure for your short hose troubles

Just wanted to say, i ordered 6 of these for my 2 kegs, put 2 in each keg, just ordered 6 for "just in case". Just put them in and pulled a pint...absolutely perfect. It is slow, but man what a difference, i was getting 1/2 a pint of foam because of short 5' lines on my kegconnection setup...

    Beer bottle label removal

Just soak them in a sink with hot water for an hour or so, then take a scotchbrite pad or steel wool style dish scrubber to take the glue off. I never use oxyclean, plain water works fine for me.

    Hows my first recipe sound?

    I was mistaken...it was Simcoe hops instead of KG. Used 9# of Pale DME, 1# Crystal 60, 1oz Simcoe @ 60, 1oz Citra @ 15, 5, 0. We'll see how it turns out. Came in at 56IBU & 1.062.

    Hows my first recipe sound?

I was wondering if it would be too sweet with 2lbs of 60L. With that 2# and 9# of Pale LME, Brewpal is showing 1.071 and with all 4oz of hops (60, 45, 15, 5) it is showing 43IBU. I like my IPA's pretty aromatic and not overly bitter, so maybe i should do 60, 15, 5, flameout? Ditch the KG and...

Anyone recommend a good intro keg kit?

I think a 5lb tank will last about 20 kegs.

Frigidaire Model FRC445GB Mini-Fridge Kegerator Conversion

No. I'd suggest reading through the thread if you havent. Once you get in there and get the foam out, you'll see. Remember the rule of thumb...measure twice, cut (or drill) once. You have to be careful because some of the holes you drill will come really close to the lines, but you can watch...

Frigidaire Model FRC445GB Mini-Fridge Kegerator Conversion

I dont think you could fit a 5 gallon keg in these, if you are talking about like a pony keg.

    Bubbles in line

Yeah, the first thing i did was make labels and mark the keg so i never confused it. So you think i should loosen the clamps a little?

    Bubbles in line

    Bubbles in line

Just kegged my first 2 beers a few days ago. Set it at 30psi for 48 hours. Checked both kegs a few mins ago, purged and set the kegs to 10psi. Noticed one was leaking around the purge valve. Greased it up with keg lube and it seemed to stop. THe other one though, it is foaming real bad, and...

Oops, I added hops before hot break

I've only done 4 brews so far, but every time i drop the hops, the fight is on to keep the foam down. I pretty much feather the propane regulator and blow, and have to do this for around 10 minutes until it calms down. I thought that was normal.

Looking for a Big Sky IPA extract recipe.

I love this one as well and would be interested. I've read that they use Simcoe hops, but would like a full recipe
