Trying to figure out what to brew. I only have enough equipment for an extract brew.
I was thinking something similar to Long Trail Harvet or a robust porter.
Any Ideas?
I was racking some blueberry cider and i got accidentally got some lees in the secondary. I assuming its not that big of a deal because its just gonna clear & age. I just want get a second opinion. thanks

I just brew the same style except using only blueberries (they were on sale along with honey that cause a spontaneous brewing night). How is it coming along? My blueberry is only 5 days in and it smells, looks, and is fermenting really good for bread yeast.

I made a 1/2 gallong test batch of blueberry mead. Its made out of whatever I could find in the super market. I am curious how long should I let it ferment in the primary?
My recipe is:
1 and a half lbs of Clover Honey

Hey I noticed my mead stopped bubbling a few days ago. Think I can rack it? It has been fermenting for a month and a few days. I know the recipe says 2 months but it honestly has done nothing and the yeast seems to hanging out with the oranges instead of going to the bottom of the carboy.

slowly building up my collection of equipment. i have a couple 1 gallons & 1/2 gallon jugs. But before I brew I'm probably going to get a 3 gallon carboy or bucket. If not 1 gallon test batches for now.

I bet this question is asked a lot but I thought I'd ask. I want to try brewing beer but I would like to know which is a good starter recipe? should i get extract kits or attempt to use full grain?
