Thanks dirkomatic! I found this 7.8lb tub at Big Lots for $9 so I bought it instead! Same 60/40 mix of sodium percarbonate to sodium carbonate. Cheers!
So has anybody used the Kroger brand? I'm curious if it is scented. Appears to be the same active ingredients as Sun Oxygen. A little bit more expensive at $4.50/3.5#, but still cheaper than OxiClean which I've only seen as low as $7/3#.
Cheers!

Anybody have a couple of SANKE spears laying around collecting dust? I'm looking to make some sight glass protectors with them. Let me know? I need 3 or 4.
Cheers,

I'm curious what folks do to protect their honeywell valves from the elements. My brew rig sits outside 24/7/365. Should I try to totally enclose it in something waterproof? Or is a splash guard sufficient to keep it from getting wet. It is stored up against the house under an eave, so there...
The float valve is supposed to release gas but not liquid. The 'float' is buoyant in water/wort/liquid, but drops in gas which allows it to vent. Haven't tried 'em yet. Not sure it would help since the 'cavitation' or 'vaporization' is occurring on the negative pressure side.
AWESOME BUILD!!! I'm thinking about cruising down to the Chinese Embassy (HF) and grabbing one of those MIG welders.
Quick question for you re the snippet above: Do you have trouble with vapor lock / pump priming when you do this? I begin pumping in my whirlpool chiller with 15 minutes left...
Roger that. I think the distance from the bottom of the keg to the top of the burner has a big impact... Seems I've read that 4" is ideal. That's what I'm shooting for in my build.
Cheers!
From Northern Brewer - still sealed in a plastic half gallon size milk type jug. No expiration date printed that I can find. I like cgongdoli's suggesstion to freeze and use for yeast starters...
