    How much can one transport?

From the horse's mouth: A person may personally purchase alcoholic beverages in another state and transport them into New Jersey only if (1) the alcoholic beverages are intended to be used solely for personal use and (2) the alcohol is personally transported in a vehicle into New Jersey. The...

    Fixing music/MP3 tags

One word... Tagscanner. It will batch generate tags based on filename, folder location, etc. You can also use it to edit tags manually, rename files and more. I have a similarly sized collection and it has been a life saver.

    Noo-rook? Nuruk?

KoG, you may want to check out this page: http://www.fao.org/docrep/x2184e/x2184e09.htm It has a lot of information on various Asian fermented beverages, including a table describing the component organisms used in fermentation. Nuruk vs Koji vs Chu, etc. I don't know where you can buy...

They say everyone has at least one car accident...

First, let me say that totally sucks. I have been in a few accidents in my driving lifetime, none of which were my fault and it is always a PITA. The commonwealth of PA uses what they call a "choice no fault" system. Laws, like most of the ones here, that are nearly impossible to decipher. What...

$8 for Wyeast Activator pack !!!!!

Yeah... bad choice of word "slant". I just meant whatever tube I put the glycerine/yeast suspension in. Wyeast, when talking about their Roeselare Blend states that they don't even recommend starters because of the organisms' different growth rates. I inquired about purchasing their pitchable...

    Carbonation in wooden barrels?

The short answer to PsiWulf7's original question is that you would prime normally. That is, if it is a "real ale" you are going for. Look here and here for some more info on cask beers. A few other points: Barrels (American Oak, French Oak, Hungarian Oak, etc.) can all be had in various...

$8 for Wyeast Activator pack !!!!!

Now there's a good idea. I had thought about getting a small -20d lab freezer for this purpose, but I'd rather spend the cash elsewhere. Now I'm thinking about freezing some slants in those forms you can get to make popsicles. The ice "jacket" would insulate the slants from the freeze/thaw...

    Rodenbach Grand Cru

You should come on in to Philly and go to Monk's. You can try all sorts of sour beers there. Then I can show you the oak barrel SWMBO got me for Christmas. :D She loves the Flanders style as well becuase they are similar on the palate to red wine (IMHO) but red wine gives her migraines. The...

    Rodenbach Grand Cru

Mmmm.... Dee-licious. I also love the Grand Cru and the Flanders Red style in general. It is, in fact, what I plan to do for my first AG.

    Using Brett??

Who's that messing with the Bret funk-e? It's me. It's me. I've only just gotten started, but am planning quite a bit of messing around with the wild brews.

    Noob in Philly

Sounds like you've got a pretty good start. Welcome to the wondeful world of brewing. :mug: Oh, and as far as not wanting to complicate your setup, good luck. We all say the same thing at first. :D
