[Initial Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

That looks awesome. I'm curious how you modded the BrewPi interface to hide access to its controls?

It will work on the BananaPi - it runs Linux and you're just running a very simple webserver and database.

A simple yes doesn't really address the question in his post, but thanks for your contribution.

No-ip simply allows you to have a web address (example: yournamehere.servebeer.com) point to your Taplist. Admin functionality is already built into the Raspberry Pints interface, so you don't need to worry about whether you're viewing from inside your network, or out on the internets!

You will need to point No-ip domain to your router/modem's IP, so that it can forward that request to your internal Pi's IP. I do the same thing for my BrewPi, and have one computer on my network running No-ip's client software (all it does is update your IP to No-ip if your ISP changes it...)...

I have never had much success with .htaccess files. I tried using one on my BrewPi fermentation controller. I'd wanted to restrict someone from coming in and setting my chamber to 80F and laughing at 20 gallons of ****e... Any of the how-to's I found on the web resulted in no change.

Fair enough - but what would be a better way of doing this? Other than hiding your Rpi behind a firewall.

daytripper, that temp logger is pretty cool. Good work. I'd replace it with a simpler, cleaner text output, if it was mine, but good work nonetheless!

[Initial Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

This is my favourite RPi project... this post comes a little late - should have posted yesterday since it was "Pi" day (3/14).. I built one, but went a bit of a different direction than most I've seen in this thread. I disassembled the monitor, and mounted it into the wall above my taps and...

    System upgrade!

Some of you may remember my old system : https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/trgs-steam-powered-1-3bbl-brewsystem-406071/ I got a bunch of flak for my steam tank. It worked great, but I knew its lifespan was relatively short. A fun experiment, if you will. But, we found that brewing 10 gallons...

    TRG's Steam Powered 1/3bbl brewsystem

My kettle is electric fired, so I will not need steam for the boil. This is exactly why I think the flash is exactly what I need. Once I begin the build, I will start a new thread - thanks for all of the info Kevin.

    TRG's Steam Powered 1/3bbl brewsystem

I defintely don't "need" pressurized steam. But I like how well it works for heating the mash/strike water. That said, I've used this system about a dozen times, but am in the process of building a new flash boiler. So I am not worried about this tank failing in the next few brews, but I do...

Nowhere near its original strength by welding two fittings on? Do expand. Steel and temperature information is easy to find, and from what I found shows steel strength beginning to weaken above 500F. I'm not anywhere near that temperature, so I'm not sure what you mean about it being nowhere...
