    Using a Sodastream

I tried it. It makes a huge mess. If you are still inclined to do it I suggest doing it in a sink. You can only charge liquids that won't foam/bubble like water. That's why you add mix after carbonation Good luck.

First Lager - coming out for a rest

I started my first lager about 4 weeks ago. It's a light lager (Lawnmower Lager from AHB). The initial fermentation started of quickly for a day or so, then I brought it down to 50-55 degrees for the remainder of the 4 weeks. In the initial week, I peeked into the fridge and saw an occasional...

    Keezer question

Thanks for the input. I am glad I asked. I will try either tape or a liquid adhesive (liquid nails) and brackets. I have some double sided tape left over from the keezer build. For the record, for me magnets are a waste of time My drip tray is not magnetic. Many stainless steel...

    Can I add water?

I needed to brew two batches at a time so I used my 5 gal carboy to brew an American IPA. To prevent major issues with blow out, I have probably 4.25-4.5 gallons of beer. I am ready to transfer to the keg, but wanted to know if I should add a small amount of water to the keg to get it closer...

Too early to keg a Blond ale?

Seems I made some lucky choices. The blond is racing through fermentation and should be ready for conditioning soon. That sounds like the winner! Thanks!

Too early to keg a Blond ale?

I have two new batches brewing away, a Texas Blond Ale and an American IPA. However, I just found out that I have friends coming in at the end of March and I'd like to serve them some homebrew. I'm assuming since the Blond Ale is much simpler in nature than the IPA, that the IPA would benefit...
