Sorry if this is a stupid question but if the beer is at the final gravity can you bottle it right then? I am used to aging it in a carboy after it has reached final gravity but I found that most people don't use secondary fermenters. If I can bottle it once it reaches final gravity how long...
I have made a few batches of extracts, I would like to transition to all-grain brewing. What would I need and about how much would it cost? I want to start making my own recipes and with extracts that is hard to do.
I am brewing an Irish Red and kept it in the primary for 10 days before I transferred it to the carboy. I was getting ready to bottle and noticed that it had begun to vigorously ferment in the carboy. Anybody know anything about this?
