    Stir Plate

I was looking around for an inexpensive stir plate when I found a few examples of making your own. So with a few extra computer parts, I was well on my way. The only purchases that I had to make were the potentiometer (to be able to fine tune the speed) & stir rod. Together, less than $5. I...

    What are you drinking now?

I'm drinking as much of a half barrel of Yuengling Amber Lager as quick as I can. I'm trying to empty it quickly so I can turn the keg into a brew pot. It mostly tastes delicious since I live in Cali and can never get Yuengling unless I con a family member to drive it out here from the east coast.

    Rims MLT build

Looks awesome. Enjoying all of your photos along the way. Hope to follow your example soon. Once I finish off this 1/2 barrel of Yuengling I plan to start building my own ekeggle. Cheers

After a few weeks in the secondary, I noticed something other than oak chips floating in the beer. Lucky for me though, the barleywine came out quite tasty.

Asked Sierra Nevada Brewing about Torpedo Extra IPA Recipe. Here it is!

Well then... Now I'm whole-heartedly sure the rep was talking out of her ass. I rescind my previous notations about only Citra Hops. Thanks for the great (and well published) reference.

Asked Sierra Nevada Brewing about Torpedo Extra IPA Recipe. Here it is!

First off, Torpedo Extra IPA is a truly impressive beer. I have gone out of my way just to find a case when the local store runs out. Just to add to the confusion, I must say the following: Just a few weeks ago, I went to a beer tasting event that was sponsored by Sierra Nevada. Samples...
