    Corny Keg ID?

Yes. In fact I do. Just sitting there doin nuthin. ;) I should look around. All the bicycle/basketball pumps that have made their way through this family. Having said that, I haven't seen one in a good long while. Wouldn't hurt to put the word out. That's good to know also! I looked. Man...

I've got a corny keg that has a post with buggered up threads.

That link to a bulkhead may well solve the whole problem. I assume it's a simple drill a hole and insert bulhead...fill or seal previous post and then proceed. If so, that isn't what I'd call an expensive fix. Thank you beren.

    Corny Keg ID?

It may well be the same for me as it's been for others. Everything might be workable, jut in dire need of the thorough cleaning. That is the first step. Not sure how to test pressure without C02, but there is probably a work around.

    Corny Keg ID?

I was able to give these kegs a pretty good looking over, and it appears that 4 of the 5 I have are also Cornelius-Spartan.I removed the lid and removed the gas and liquid tubes (this one has a straight liquid pick-up tube). It looks like it has never been used as both tubes had a dark sticky...

Getting educated is already becoming costly :). I'm not really "slow" but I'll pick it up given adequate time.

    Corny Keg ID?

As a total newbie, this does confuse me a bit (actually a lot)...I was just wondering if I could simply replace the posts (valves) with later model posts, thereby avoiding any problems down the road with wore out or damaged poppets as mac_1103 suggested. Thanks to OakIskandBrewery for the...

I've got a corny keg that has a post with buggered up threads.

I had thought of that as well. This is the hazards of buying used when you have very little experience. If I lived in Texas I'd be a knockin on your door. :) That is a great idea. I'll have to try to get over to the local HF and find some of those. My fear is that repairing would cost more...

I've got a corny keg that has a post with buggered up threads.

I gave it a half hearted try. but it really didn't want to catch a thread. I'll figure something out hopefully. Thanks for the advice too.

I've got a corny keg that has a post with buggered up threads.

Welded or braised is a solid possibility.I wonder what a machine shop would charge to clean up the threads.? A die that size would probably run $25+. Looks like you can't "like" a response at the same time you reply. :( Thanks for the help.

I've got a corny keg that has a post with buggered up threads.

This is the gas side post. The threads are slightly cross threaded (it looks like although I can see very well even with my glasses on). I don't even see how the post would come out to be changed. Anyone have any experience with this type of thing?

    Corny Keg ID?

I'm really happy I posted the question. I've learned a lot on just this simple question. There's Flaggons of good information here. :)

    Corny Keg ID?

That's good information Deadalus. I had no idea about the poppets, so I'm glad you mentioned that. I was a little concerned that the tanks might be outdated, and they probably are, but at least serviceable. I have considered doing that. I probably should try to get a good cleaning in while it's...

    Corny Keg ID?

Anyone familiar with this style single handle keg? I'm mainly interested to know if I can order a standard seal replacement kit, and if all the parts are interchangeable? I'm assuming little else is different...capacity and.or strength.

    1st ginger beer

This is the video I've been thinking about following myself. Comforting to know someone here has followed their video and it turned out well. How did you vary from their process, if you don't mind my asking? I just wish I could find a video with all the equipment listed in the description. I...

New batch of carrots and new kimchi started!

This is something I would really like to do as well. Kimchee is great! I'd eat it twice a day easy if I could afford to pay $4 a day for those little jars. I had Kimchee made in the Philippines that I had a bad reaction to,so I thought I was suddenly allergic. Bought a jar here in Oregon after...
