I use that same dimmer switch to control an led strip to light up my work bench. Lasted 3 years before the knob broke and I had to get a new one. Other than that, works great.

If it dies, it will get replaced, but won't be that big. I guess if I build a collar for it, I would just need to remove it and shorten the 4 sides to accommodate a newer chest freezer. How difficult would it be to remove a collar once it's siliconed on the "old" freezer? I would assume, not very.

I have a 15 cubic foot freezer that wasn't getting below 20 degrees, so the wife and I wound up getting a 20ft replacement. The older one is a GE (FCM 15CPA WH). I'm wondering if the fact that it's not getting below 20 is a sign that it's going to die soon because I'd hate to spend the time and...

Kind of a long thread here, but is everyone still following the recipe on page 1? I've done the extract version on page 1 3 times now, but I'm going to do the all grain version this friday. Just wondering if anyone has varied from the original recipe with any success. Thanks!

Thanks for the forum lesson Pappers ;) I too, like Nelson Sauvign. I've brewed many batches with it. I've never tried Green Bullet, so figured why not this time. For the Wai-iti version, I was thinking of FWH with Green Bullet instead of adding at 60. I think that might bias the "study" tho..

I've been using Fermcap-S for a while, and actually HAD my first boil over with it on Friday. 10 gallon pot, 7.25 gallons of wort. When I added my bittering hops, it actually boiled over. I had 10 drops of it added too! WTF???
