I have several of these carboy covers and I love them! They make it so easy to move a full carboy and they seem like they are made from durable materials. Time will tell.

Update: I used number 9 corks on these bottles and every one of them sealed fine with no problems.

What size cork did you use?

So I just came across about 50 of the 750ml Welch's sparkling grape juice bottles. Has anybody used them to bottle their wine? Can they even be used for this? I assume since they were holding pressure,they are just a champagne bottle but they have screw tops. Since they have screw tops, how...

Would you post the recipe? Or at least where you got it from?

I recently just brewed my first lager. At 2 weeks, they had almost no carbination. It took them right at 3 weeks in the bottles to carbonate. After four weeks, they were right where I wanted them. Give them more time!

Yes, it was heated to dissolve the sugar. Since I followed the recipe to the letter, I am going to say my number was off or I misread my hydrometer.

Well, just over a week ago I made 2 batches exactly to the recipe. Looking back both of my OG's were 1.055 and 1.054. Did I screw up?
