    Dewclaw sourme strawberry grape clone?

Can someone give me some guidance on how to produce a clone of this? For some reason I got gifted a 4 pack that I turned my nose up to, only to drink one and suddenly become obsessed with it. ideas?

Making a Scottish wee, I have two yeasts, I need to pick one.

Title says it, which would you choose and why? Making a wee which will have a fairly high OG. I have some Nottingham that I harvested from a recent chocolate oatmeal milk stout I made. I spun a starter and it’s sitting in my fridge right now ready to go. I also have a dry packet of US-04...

    Utilizing kegerator when not brewing

Here is an odd question for all you guys... I don't do much brewing in the winter months. I can't brew inside and standing outside in -10 or colder degree weather is not my idea of a good time. So generally the tap runs dry until at least april or May when I can tolerate long periods of the...

    Way too bitter...

K thanks! I'm doing this tonight.

    Way too bitter...

Dang. Well that explains it. So what you are saying is that the IBU calculations are not right when they get that high? So I guess the only way to really know is just through experience? Also, why the late hop additions in the "unhopped" boil?

    Way too bitter...

Wow thanks for the fast responses! I've been trying to copy my recepie but brewers friend is being weird. The details are: Magnum 2oz for 60 min Cascade 1oz for 60 min Magnum 1oz for 30 min Cascade 1oz for 30 min Magnum 1oz for 2 min Cascade 1oz for 2 min (7 oz I was mistaken) Brewers...

    Way too bitter...

So I recently made a gluten free licorice IPA using anise and six (that's right) six ounces of hops. They were 3 oz glacier and 3 oz Yakima magnum. Working this thing out on brewers friend (with the schedule I was supposed to use.) it worked out at 100IBU exactly. I apparently screwed my...

    The Fugly Blonde

Well I need to update this recepie and say wow! It turned out great! It's simple yellow fizzy beer that has some depth and character. It's light and easy to drink and won't knock you on your ass. The next time I do this I will probably only use aroud 4lbs DME and lower the ABV more. The hop...

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Honey Habanero Cream Ale

When I picked out the flesh, it included the seeds if they wanted to hitch a ride. I'm glad everyone is enjoying this recepie. I really liked how sweet the beer turned out. Goes great with the heat. I'm very proud of this recepie, the peppers need tweaked a little depending on your tastes...

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Honey Habanero Cream Ale

Well. It's just the way I've been brewing. Adding all the fermentables at flameout keeps the color lighter. So if I'm trying to control the color I'll add them this way. Stouts and porters I don't worry about it. Plus it keeps the mess to a minimum and eliminates boil-overs. I've never...

    White Horse Witbeir

Here is the revised recepie. I will be trying it next: HOME BREW RECIPE: Title: White Horse #2 Author: Tackett Brew Method: Extract Style Name: Witbier Boil Time: 60 min Batch Size: 5.5 gallons (fermentor volume) Boil Size: 7 gallons Efficiency: 35% (steeping grains only) STATS: Original...

    White Horse Witbeir

Ok so I cracked open a finished one yesterday and here's what I think. The peated malt could stand to be more. I think I am going to move up significantly to .5lbs. The extra light really helped the color. The color is actually perfect, but the taste is obviously a little watered. I think...

    White Horse Witbeir

Well I just taste tested this today. Wow, I think this is going to be a winner. The chamomile is present, but not forefront. The peated moss added a slight licorice flavor that's perfect. I could actually stand a bit more licorice flavor. So next time I will e increasing the peated moss...
