I'm upgrading to a larger keezer and now have room to force carbonate and serve at the same time. I was wondering if this would work.

I've got about a 30'x30' grass backyard that I'm planning to add a topping of soil and overseed shortly.
Is there any benefit to spreading out my spent grains around the yard before I add the soil? Would this help add organic content? Or does this add no benefit if I don't compost first?
Why would a greenlee punch increase the chance of cracking the pot while flaring? Is a hole-saw better because it hardens the material? This is the first time I've ever heard someone saying to not using a greenlee punch to create a hole that will be flared.

I'm doing my first attempt at water adjustments. I used brun water to calculate my additions based on my city water report.
Before mash-in the ph of my water measured 5.1. I was expecting 5.46. Is that a correct assumption? Did something go wrong? Starting water read correctly at 7.6...
This was my first batch on my own equipment, and a few things went wrong. Only my second all-grain brew and I've only done extract/steeped grains a few times at a u-brew
I was aiming for 5 gallons in the fermentor, but ended up with closer to 4. I think I know how much water to add next time...
