    SG bump from priming?!

I need to know how much priming a beer, using the 1/2tsp sugar per bottle, bumps the SG by. Reason I ask is because I have mead that sorta stuck, I think. I racked 2x, not the smartest thing to do, I know. Anyway the gravity sits at 1.006, and its carbonated. ( Because I sealed the container...

Corn Sugar vs Table Sugar for Priming

Very wierd, and im just wondering why this happend to me. I have bought some corn sugar (dextrose) at bulk barn, it was amazingly cheap!! I used around 300-500grams of it on my regular 5gal batch, and I ALSO used half a tsp per 330ml bottle. It seems ALL my bottles that have been primed...

    Boiling Extracts...

Id have to say that boiling the extract is a GOOD thing..... Last batch of hobgoblin that I made exact same recipe, just came out wayy to bitter, and the flavours didnt come out as much...not sure if it was because of the bitterness or not.... I still drank it all cuz im a hophead and all but...

    Medieval/Fantasy

I'd like to see a label with the exact same as hobgoblins, with this image cropped up in there the backround imagery should contain some kind of medieval theme, perhaps a castle on a plain.

    Medieval/Fantasy

It would be pretty neat, if someone could help me with a small easy project. Its simple really, RE-MAKE some of wychwood breweries labels so we can call them our own. Being as lazy as I am, currently I dont have the software to design one myself. Id like the label to be circular shaped...

    Empty fermenter anxiety

I just now snapped out of my lazy/non feelin like brewing. It seems with me, it takes the longest of time to clean things and make sure everything is spotless when im brewing, its riciculous, i noticed myself rinsing the spoon I use to stir my pot up with every single time i put it down on...

Woohoo! My Friends Liked My Beer!

no one likes my beer, sure they say they do, but you can tell by the way they take large gulps in effort not to taste anything, and quickly finish it and move on to their lawnmower lagers ;)

    Boiling Extracts...

I was getting ready to prepare myself for another small batch of hobgoblin, then It hit me, why not just make a full size 5gallon batch. My boil volume is around 2gallons, but since im not mashing any grains do I really need a large boil volume ? The main question here is about hop...

    Dead guy and Hobgoblin

Im gonna try and revive this thread, even though conversations have gone from recipes, to Lovibonds, conditioning, and now to bottles. Im concerned the "Ruby Red Glow" Hobogoblin ale has, i cant replicate that. Sounds like a simple solution, steep the chocolate-caramel for a shorter period...
