    Hi, I have read a lot about 05 being a work horse, what I am experiencing is just so different than any other yeast I got to do a gut check. So I usually use nottingham yeast for ales and after day 2 it’s going nuts. This 05 is going just 1/4 speed. The brew temp is low( 62), gravity readings...

    You are good due to the temps. The biggest issue is what tobor stated BUT I have have personaly found no issue with aeration before fermentation issues. So enjoy the brew and learn! Cheers

    Pitched yeast @ 90 deg

    I dry pitched it, It seemed to ferment very quickly, done after 3 days, fg was high .12 is idea, I was getting .2with taking temp into reading. og was dead on at .52. had a taste today, seemed very hot on the alcohol like flyguy mentioned, besides that tasted good. Any ideas on the fg???

    hi guys, I been reading alot in this forum and found pitching in yeast at 90 deg is not good. I was following the directions on the wheat ale that was looking for a 90 deg temp for yeast to be added, any idea on how bad this batch is going to be, or problems??

    Hi guys, needless to say this was my first batch ever. I was putting the hydrometer into the lid and the o-ring fell into the wort!!!! I sanitized my hands and reached in and got it, should I just through the beer out?? I did how ever have the o-ring sanitized before it fell in.
