From what I can tell the elements in the mash and boil use an element similar to an electric stove installed against the kettle in a false bottom. Kinda reminds me of a hot plate.
I'm guessing the next gen would we a built in induction burner into the next kettles
So I finally made this, it was or is awesome. 6 cups of sweet rice and chinese yeast/mold balls made enough for 3 16 oz bottles. They are now fining and clearing in the fridge. Also they are very good.
This looks really good, but instead of making it in the pumpkin, why not just juice a pumpkin, then add the pumpkin pie spices while using the regular bomm yeast? Then it would be ready to drink in a month!!!!!!!!
I wanna say thanks for your hard work and love of mead loveofrose, I made 3 one gallon batches, the BOMM, the Cyser and your Orange Spice, all were excellent and powerful. Have you or has anyone experimented with the San Diego Super yeast?
Brewing this today for the OC Fair competition, my LHBS didn't have the yeast so I picked up an English Dry, then had to go crystal 75 instead of 85. SHo7uold be fairly close
Along those same lines, why not just make a mini keg out of a good 2 gallon water jug? It would be easier to clean and all we would have to do would be attach the hardware to the lid. Or maybe just the valve on the top and change out the spigot to a metal flow valve.
I got one of the 2 hole lap stoppers and through one i screwed a bike tube valve and through the other I tightly pulled a 1/4 inch tubing and attached a keg spout to the end of it.
I was afraid of the stopper blasting out with charging the keg, so I simply bought some twine and tied it around...
