Help! Will my beer be ruined?

I was going to ask if I could grab a nice microbrew for my first time.

    Question about non-beer bottles.

Never mind, just tested one with carbonated water. Not going to work.

    Question about non-beer bottles.

They're not PET, they're glass bottles that had lemonade in them originally. They seem to be nice bottles and would rather put them to use than return them for 5 cents. Maybe for mead?

    Question about non-beer bottles.

That's why I figured I'd ask before trying. It's better than, "I used these 32oz bottles and beer is leaking everywhere what do I do?!?!"

    Question about non-beer bottles.

There isn't any, but they come tightly sealed. I guess I could test out the bottles ability to withstand pressure first. I don't mind buying bottles, but I figured if I could use these instead it would just save money since this lemonade is currently 2/$3 at work and I get a discount.

    Question about non-beer bottles.

I have a bunch of 32oz. bottles from lemonade. If I cleaned them nicely, could I use those instead of buying a bunch of 12oz bottles, caps, and a capper? I figure if you can use soda bottles this shouldn't be a problem.

    My introduction.

I'm not new to the idea of forums. While I'm a newbie at making beer I don't want to be an annoying newbie at posting.

    My introduction.

Hey, maybe I'll turn the brew world on its head with the first beer you can clean yourself with.

    My introduction.

My name is Rob. I'm a long time beer drinker, but recently decided it's time to start making it. I haven't quite gotten the homebrew stuff, but plan to in about 2 1/2 weeks or so. Since I know nothing about brewing beer, I decided to join these forums early so that I could be somewhat prepared...
