My brother in-law and I purchased similar TS5 pumps. We are constructing variable voltage power supplies and a control box. Once we are done with the project I will post pics and materials for all.
While the pump is actually rated from 3-24vdc the power supply that we are using will provide...
My brother-in-law and I ordered 2 of these:
SS TS5 15PV NPT
US Solar Pumps supplies pumps with stainless steel threaded 1/2" NPT for home brewers.
To power them we are working on building two adjustable voltage regulated power supplies. We've already ordered the parts and I will let...
Sweet under counter design. Since I too live in Jacksonville I quickly noticed your keg was from Bold City! If I weren't brewing my own beer I would most certainly have their kegs on tap.
I would rack the Irish Draught to the 5g BB as a secondary whenever it's ready. Wheat beers can get a little feisty in the primary and you want to make sure there is enough space for the krausen.
Check out this vid of a watermelon wheat... gone mad.
How did this turn out for you? I moved mine to a secondary then into a keg to condition. I plan on letting it set for a few months hoping the beer will thin out at least a little.
I recently used the same kit with the same results. When I racked the beer to secondary it was thicker than the 3 stouts I had done previously(not NB). I am aging mine with vanilla, bourbon and oak so I hope it tastes good with all I have involved. I'll post a taste test in a month or two. I...
I recently brewed a batch of Northern Brewer's American Wheat but added 1.5# of Agave Necter to it. I used WyLabs 320 American Hefeweizen Yeast and I'm interested to see what flavor the agave lends... The primary is on day 5 right now but i'll keep everyone posted!
I bought the same freezer and put a 10" collar on it so that I could put another corny on the compressor hump. Right now I have a 1/6 barrel and a corny and it would easily fit another of either on the hump.
I don't think two slim quarters would fit unless you built something with a high enough...
I just finished my keezer this weekend and got it moved from the garage into the house today! Two serving towers currently set up with a standard sankey on one tap and my home brew on the other. Whole project has really pushed my love of home brewing to a whole new level. :mug:
Started as a...
I used a jig-saw with a 3" blade. Center drilled a hole all the way through first. Then I started on the top and then used the sheet metal (traced around it with sharpie, centered it on the drilled hole) as the pattern on the other side. It worked amazing well since I didn't have access to any...
