    In-line valve transfer hoses

Thinking about adding in-line valves to my silicone transfer hoses just before the quick disconnects to keep spillage to an absolute minimum. Anyone else do this?

    !HELP! DSPR-120 issue?

I actually just received my replacement unit, a DSPR300, installed it, wired it up identical to the DSPR120, hooked it up to a sensor and power and guess what… — NO ERROR!! — 🤩🥳 Sending the old unit to Auber who’s gonna test it for a conclusive answer, but until then, I think it’s safe to say...

    !HELP! DSPR-120 issue?

I appreciate the insight. And this is why I love this forum, people teaching people and spending time to do so out of their own good heart! Got a bit of an update yesterday. I was on the line with a tech at Auber Ins. and we tried all sorts of tests, and we’ve both concluded it has to be a bad...

    !HELP! DSPR-120 issue?

I also forgot to mention the SSR's flow into a contactor, and what I measure in voltage is the same on both the HLT and Boil receptacles, when the respective element is switched on with my three way switch. Anyway, here's a bunch of images. I should state that the red and black are hot, white...

    !HELP! DSPR-120 issue?

Thanks for the suggestion on wiring. Yes, I have checked and double checked my wiring and it is done according to the DSPR120 manual. As for the LED, that comes on and I have tested the receptacle with a multimeter, voltage is present as expected. Im starting to wonder if I have a faulty DSPR120?

    !HELP! DSPR-120 issue?

Hello, Wondering if anyone can offer any insight as to how I should be wiring the boil controller for the setup in this guide: https://www.skrilnetz.net/how-to-build-a-brewing-control-panel-herms-240v-30-amp/ I'm ended up getting a DSPR-120 to operate boiling (the guide calls for the DSPR1)...

In Search Of Knockout Punch (1 5/8)

Can’t seem to find a 1 5/8 knockout punch in stock anywhere, pandemic delays strike again. So seeing if anyone has one they’re willing to sell off or hell, even borrow for two punches. I can’t get my elements into my kettles without a hole. Happy to pay fair price and/shipping back and forth...

    Which wire for 240?

Lol, great. Looks like I'll have plenty to connect my brew controller to my kettles with.

    Which wire for 240?

Ugh, I think I may have the wrong wire though. Man oh man. I currently have this wire, a 55ft run of stranded 10/4 SOOW 'Carol' brand wire. Apparently it's ampacity is rated at 25. I've found a very similar wire, stranded 10/4 SOOW 'Flextreme' brand wire, apparently rated at 30ampacity...

    Which wire for 240?

I need help knowing what gauge/conductor count wire to get for my run of 240v with gfci breaker. I need 30amps. Running 55 feet exactly. Have 2 5500w elements, running one at a time. 2, 120v pumps, both going. Have 10/4 SOOW stranded wire available but fear it’s just a bit too small and too...

    Switch to E-Brewing - Opinions, Pro's & Con's

The Tri-clamp element with integrated plug from Brew-Boss is one solution I wasn't aware of. Those paired with some type of 3V controller looks almost too easy to implement. I enjoy what I have with my setup, and always have liked the DIY nature of it, giving the freedom to further modify in the...

    Switch to E-Brewing - Opinions, Pro's & Con's

Good point. I don't believe there would be a need for an element in the Mash Tun.

    Switch to E-Brewing - Opinions, Pro's & Con's

Hey everyone! Looking for some advice, insights, opinions here. My current setup consists of a propane HERMS system, which has been a lot of fun to use, but as I get deeper into the world of beer making, I want that control E-brewing has to offer, without compromising my ability to produce 10...
