    Adding fruit zests....screwup?

I wouldn't worry about it. Think about what a lot of cleansers are made of... citrus acid.

What music do you listen to while brewing?

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Thanks Brandon O, made my first batch a month or so ago and followed the recipe exactly. The first week after it carbonated in the keg I wasn't sure about it but now after a few weeks it is tasting really good. Crisp, tart and very drinkable. Finished at 1.009. Thanks again.

Cuvee de Tomme clone group project

It's finished and @ 9.5% right now. I was planning on adding the cherries (probably drained) with some bourbon soaked oak cubes and some Orval dregs. Then let it sit for however long it takes to sour up a bit. Midnight Sun Brewery did a beer that sounds similar to cdt called Lust, it was a...

That stuff is 100% cherries in water, and it's all I can find where I live. Anyone?

Cuvee de Tomme clone group project

I have a Strong Belgian Dubbel that I plan on aging on cherries and oak to come up with something similar to cdt. I bought some Oregon Tart Cherries (see picture), my question is do I drain the water/juice or just dump the whole thing into the fermentor? Thanks for the help!

    Dry, Crisp, Non-Malty IPA?

That is a great example, but Pliny is a Double/Imerial IPA. Stone is pretty close to what you want probably. I recently brewed a light crisp IPA, I used very little caramel malt (90% 2-row and 10% 20L). I used .5 oz each of Amarillo and Simcoe for 60min and .5 oz each of Amarillo and Simcoe...

    Growler Experiment help

I brewed an Oatmeal Stout that turned out great. Now I've got some oak cubes soaked in Bourbon and was thinking about filling a growler with the stout and dropping some cubes in for a little experiment. Question: How many cubes and how long for a 1/2 gallon growler? Anyone do this or have...

    Engineering at breweries

I agree with what is said above. Come up to Alaska and work with me moving oil through pipes and just brew for fun.

Corny kegs $80 a four pack, quality used solid tops

Thanks, I got a pack of single handled kegs $74 and shipping was only $38 to Alaska. It was weird though, on the kegs you had linked for $80 shipping was going to be $60. LHBS charges $65 each up here so I got 4 + a set of disconnects for $120.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

I plan on brewing a basic Pale Ale on Saturday. I then plan on washing the White Labs California Ale yeast for the rest of my summer brews.
