Newell's Groundhog Cider (woodchuck amber clone)

I wonder what it would be like with cinnamon sticks floating around in the keg... may try that with batch #2.

Newell's Groundhog Cider (woodchuck amber clone)

I made this recipe a few weeks back. My OG and FG were the same as matthewbasta's. It finished fermenting in about 9 or 10 days. After 16 days, I put the whole carboy in the fridge, and added some isinglass a day later. I am hoping it clears up better than is has - still quite cloudy. It seems...

What Sanitisers and Cleaners are used.

I have a buddy who sells cleaning supplies for a living. After a conversation about homebrewing, and a few pints of said homebrew, he mentioned that he may be able to get me a product equivalent to starsan at a very convincing price(re:free). I don't know enough about cleaning products to know...

    Growing in Tennessee?

Franklin County or Franklin in Williamson County? I live in Williamson County(Mack Hatcher and Liberty Pike), and brew with a few friends who live around the Nashville area. My neighbor and I just placed an order for Cascade, Willamette, Kent Golding and Nugget rhizomes. We'll see how they grow!

Need Opions from you pros: Weldless fittings and homemade siteglass

Great tip on the nipple! I just had the top cut off my keg, and I was wondering about the reliability of the weldless fittings. The O-rings that come with them look a little flimsy.

What do you use to clean your keggle?

I just had the top cut out of my keg. Now I need to clean up the dust, metal shavings, and general residue on the keg. What are you guys using to clean your kegs before you boil in them? I don't need to buff it until it shines, just make sure it's clean. Thanks, Rob

Keggle too big for burner - advice?

Hello there fellow brewers! I currently use a Bayou Classic SP10 High-Pressure Outdoor Gas Cooker and a 10 gallon pot to make my 5 gallon batches. I recently had the top cut out of a keg to use as a keggle. This allows me to make 10 gallon batches. Everything was going along well until I sat...

    Grain Bags / Muslin Bags?

My brew buddies and I are considering this... how do you seal up the paint strainer bag to keep the grain in? How is the best way to lift it out without tearing the bag?
