I have brewed this up with the 300L Roasted Barley and it came out a light brown color does anyone have any suggestions to darken this up before i bottle it?? can i add any steeped grains then boil them for a short period cool and add them to secondary with this to get a better color w/o much...
Unfortunately I was not smart enough to.. i have racked on apples, and apricots and even pears (for cider) before never had fermentation explode back up like this.. it was mighty tasty though i gotta say!!!!
it was in primary for 10 days at 68 degrees, krausen dropped to almost nothing showing, racked it to secondary and then 3 days later i checked on it and it was blowing thru.
Well after racking to secondary on the strawberries this was the first time i have had anything blow up through my airlock.. cleaned it out and it is still going nuts.. may need to do a blowoff tube..
Well I am farther North than that up in Venango County.. I have a Black Rye IPA... I going to brew this weekend or sooner if I get to it and a Cream Ale as well.
Hey I am also from Western PA and just joined the forums as well.. I have 7extract brews under my belt so far getting ready to do 8 and 9 this weekend if my plans go the way I hope anyway..
