    Tried one of the kegs of this batch. Sure enough, a smokey carmel taste in the brew. Not carbonated enough yet so I'll have a better handle tomorrow. But definitely a totally different beer from the stuff I made before.

    But make sure you rinse the Iodophor sanitized bottles well or your beer will be ruined.

    Ten gallons just about gone

    I feel your pain. The only solution is to brew often. Nothing worse than having NO HOMEBREW left. YOu need to plan ahead so you have a 2 1/2 week supply ready at any given time, taking into account special occasions as well! :drunk:

    I, too, am starting to buy in bulk. But my local brewer told me to get the LME because it's easier to keep. I don't know about that but it sure is messy! Maybe I'll try the DME next time!

    BINGO! I have not put a tube on my spigot to the wort buckets. THAT is why it's not siphoning. DOH!!! :drunk: What do people use, just the plastic food grade tubing connected to the spigot?
