I had a tea ball that thought it would work but it won’t fit thought the 3” opening on the top of the Unitank. I guess I can open the 5” triclamp that holds the chilling cool. How may of you guys just dump the hops right in lose? Is that a problem??

Hello all! I have my first brew in an Ss BT Unitank! I have fermentation starting well. When do you recommend dumping? What dump schedule do you guys do? What works best in your experience? Again, thank in advance for your helpful replies!

I also love Ss BT stuff. This chiller was a few hundred less and for me the fact that is made in America with an American company made the difference.

This is good info! The summer here in Delaware can be brutal as well. My tap water is around 75 degreesin the summer and I had to set up and whole ice water reservoir and sent that through the chiller with a second pump! I love that I can send 80-90 degree wort to the Unitank and chill it...

I happy so far with the 1/2 HP glycol chiller. Also if you have any questions Eric at Penguin has answers. They’ve helpful thus far for this newbie.

OK Penguin Chiller friends. I got my chiller all set up. I put then glycol in it and plugged it in. Of course the little temp controller is not as intuitive as I though. To start the temp is in Celsius not Fahrenheit. I got three pieces of paper with the chiller. One was a warning to to...

Very nice! I am trying to figure out how to set up and program the Penguin Chiller I got. It came with no instructions and YouTube is very limited when it comes to these chillers.

Never mind. That is a set up for a Conical fermenter not the Unitank. I will have to come up with something to put the controller next to it.

So this is what I came up with in the end. I made a stand for my pumps and plate chiller out of an IKEA step stool I had in the house.
