A friend of mine brewed a batch of pumpkin porter about 2 months ago and has seemed to have lost interest in it for some reason...he told me if i wanted it i could take it and bottle it up but it has been sitting in primary fermenter all that time. Worth my time?
So i was preparing to bottle my thunderstruck pumpkin ale and picked it up only to realize i forgot to put water in the airlock when i racked to secondary, been sitting for 3 weeks like this. Is my beer ruined or should i continue with botteling?

what are the advantages/disadvantages of using dme vs. Using lme? I have found lme much easier to use cuz the time it takes for dme to dissolve but most recipes call for mostly dme. Is it ok to substitute all lme and not use any dme?
I have seen references on some forums that say use a "spice tea" for flavoring in fermenter. Does this mean dissolving ground spices in boiling water and adding to fermenter?
I have seen references in some forums of making a "spice tea" to add flavoring later in ferment process. Is this just dissolving ground spices in boiling water and adding to frementer?
