Hey All,
Just in case people weren't aware that this is coming up.
Also.. rising pint has been confirmed for this year.

Anyone around the manchester area? My group of brewing buddies has been slowly dwindling due to people moving, having kids, etc. Looking to join a club or just some people who enjoy brewing, going it alone is getting boring
Haha, I almost posted this thread a few days ago.
Left a beer in the basement tooooo long (about 3 months). Went down and 2 of my batches were fine, one was smelly nastayyyyy.
I'm not one to waste things though, so i dry hopped it with 7 ounces, all about a year or two years old...
Man, your garage looks freaking huge. I'm jealous, I bet there's all sorts of cool toys in that beast.
Nice looking set up by the way. I've always been a fan of the way the Wood stands look. I was going to do that myself, before i found a steal on one of those Werner Compact scaffolding set...
Cant say i'de be too happy about that.
I understand the reasoning, but as someone young, who lives in a somewhat remote area... Taxi's arent really a possibility.
Last time i took a cab, it cost like 50 bucks each way... and it was gross.
I'de much rather just be mature and monitor...
Glad to know it wasn't just me. The plug looks Like a solid solution.
Wasn't sure if it would make sense to put a 90 degree pipe leading to a raised sparse manifold... It also sounds like more trouble than its worth.
Hey Guys,
Had a problem I was hoping that one of the crafty folks from homebrewtalk might be able to help me solve (preferably for relatively cheap).
So the situation is; when i moved over to all grain I decided to start a 3 keggle system. I bought a big thermometer for the Mash Tun...
So i Brewed the All grain version of this today. Due to one "assistant" helping themselves to a few to many home brews i ended up with about a gallon more than anticipated. Was aiming for an 8 gal batch, ended up with 9.
Still came in around 1.048 for the OG.
Looking forward to tasting...
Perhaps its a temp issue.
EDIT: It seems your in Cali.. so you can likely disregard the temp comment.
I would give it more time, check your temps, and if all else fails; give the carboy a little swirl to try and wake the yeast back up.
I have 3 batches right now that have been fermenting...
Perhaps it was the style of beer you are brewing?
I noticed more "hot break" material when i brewed my first big beer. Assumed it was just a result of more grain and possibly some getting through the false bottom.
Doubt it will have any negative effect, if your that worried filter it before...
It sounds like you just made LME basically... could actually be a good idea if you were trying to make a bigger beer and wanted to save on overall brew time...
possibly.
Gonna have to join up on this thread now. Ordered a kit on 1/27 and it took me almost 10 days to get ahold of someone. Now.. told monday, still nothing.
Followed up a bunch of times.. no real info.
Ugh, I'm so tired of bottling. Just want my stuff.
Yea...Bottle Bombs Suck... I had it happen with an orange beer i made. Had to mop the basement floor like 10 times to get the sticky feeling to go away.
