Hello,
Looking to venture in to my first beer trade.
I am very interested in get my hands on Heady Topper or Jai Alai.
I'm in AZ so let me know if there is anything you want that is distributed in my area and maybe we can work up a trade.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a cheap sump or pond pump from Harbor Freight. Here in AZ I can barely get my wort under 85 with ground water. I'm able to get way below 65 with a pond pump, immersion chiller, and a 20lb bag of ice.

It was around 1.020 when I transferred to secondary with cherries and Brett.
The reason for me making this decision was that it had way too many fruity esters for me to on enjoy the beer as an American brown so I figured I would experiment a bit. I'm not expecting the Brett to necessarily hide...
Figured I would give this part of the forum a shot for once. I had ended up with a in my opinion botched brown ale batch as it accidentally got fermented at 79 degrees since my chest freezer broke. I decided to give souring the batch a shot. Pitched WPL653 on the beer and 6 lbs of tart cherries...
To the side of each one of my kegs I have taped a gel pack, the type that comes frozen when I get yeast shipped to me. This has worked great so far, + that I get them for free if I ask my LHBS when I buy yeast.
The main things that I noticed was that my darker beers tasted a lot better and that my efficiency was a lot more consistent.
From what u read there are a lot of people using the water vending machines. Personally I prefer jugs since I buy more than 5 gallons but less than 10.
Can't talk specifically for Phoenix, but here in Mesa the water tastes like **** which means the beer will taste like crap too. Personally I build my own water from distilled. Before I decided to learn to build my own water I brewed with grocery store spring water.
Hello guys,
I came across some free desktop fans after mail in rebate. Thought I would share it here since they are perfect for fermentation chamber and keezers.

First post in the DIY section.
Just bought a 7.1 cu chest freezer from Costco and I'm working on turning it in to my very first keezer. It probably won't win any awards in the beauty section but she will be full of beer, and most importantly, she will be mine!
I'll be posting updates on...
Funniest thing I have read all day.
A) If you are trying to learn zymology you are doing it wrong.
B) If you are trying to get a cheap buzz you are also doing it wrong. To buy a $2 handle of booze.
Dislocate my knee brewing a stout last night. It better be good. It's about the 25:th time I have dislocated one of my knees so I am fairly used to it. From know on I will clean up all of my wort spills immediately, lesson learned.
In honor of the tragic accident I will name my beer "The...
